We're always seeking undergraduate students

Do you like talking about how technology impacts education and learning? Do you find yourself wanting to know more about cognitive and motivational theories of learning? Do you want to gain valuable research experiences?

​

If you answered yes to all of these, we would love to hear from you. We are currently seeking Research Assistants to join us.

​

Lab Setting

  • In-Person during the regular academic year

  • Hybrid in the summer

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be currently enrolled at UC Irvine

  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Have taken either a research methods or statistics class and passed with at least a B

​

Qualities we're looking for 

  • You have a strong work ethic

  • You don't shy away from responsibility

  • You do things with positivity and enthusiasm

  • You enjoy learning and pushing yourself 

​

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly or bi-monthly lab meetings

  • Devote at least 5-hours/week to lab work

  • Assist with data collection and data entry

  • Code written response data

  • Enter and clean data

  • Assist with basic data analysis and writing

  • Fulfill project obligations within a timely manner

  • Maintain close communication with the project team

Our lab will provide you the following skills and opportunities

  • Teamwork and leadership

  • Public speaking

  • Academic writing

  • Knowledge of cognitive theories of learning

  • Research methods and open science practices

  • Learning the R programming language

  • Quantitative data management skills

  • Data visualization skills

  • Foundational statistics knowledge

  • Guidance on preparing for graduate school
